#Harvest2024 is wrapping up early for some (not us🙃) so it's time to think about #soilsampling. Start when soil temp is 5-7°C, store samples in the fridge. Take representative samples (min 20 cores). Check pH, organic matter & micros! Consider #ProCote if test results are low😉

#Yara (ProCote) rep during the week, thrashing pods on Saturday nights 😊#harvest2024 #Alberta #canola

🌾Nothing like new #YaraVitaProCote setups and #peacecountry views to beat away the Monday blues 🌉

#Harvest2024 is moving fast! Seeing the first fields tilled (and some re-growing 🥴). Still too soon for soil sampling but never too early to think about fertility (including #YaraVita micros) for next year.

🌾The dust may be flying behind the combines, but doesn't need to at the fertilizer bin... #YaraVita #ProCote treated fertilizer stores well over our Canadian winters, even with late summer fill.

#fallfertilizer discussions are starting in #Alberta. #YaraVita #ProCote fertilizer coatings increase plant feeding sites and nutrient accessibility. Now is a great time to assess next season's fertilizer needs!

🌽#corn silage/grazing is getting popular in my area. Here it's the crop most likely to become zinc deficient! 25% of AB soils are naturally deficient worsened by short crop rotations. #YaraVita #ProCote BCMZ is a great fit to meet your micronutrient needs yaracanada.ca/crop-nutrition…

🌱Early leaf disease & Mn deficiency can be hard to tell apart. In high pH soil look for chlorosis & stunted growth, especially in cold wet spring conditions. #YaraVita #ProCote BCMZ is a great fit for the early seeded acres! yaracanada.ca/crop-nutrition…

My favorite micronutrient is Copper! When my family started grain farming we had a field that wouldn't grow wheat. Grey wooded, high organic matter. Very Cu deficient like 56% of AB soils. Products like #YaraVita #ProCote help with seed formation & fill yaracanada.ca/crop-nutrition…

55% of AB soil tests show Boron deficiency. In #canola symptoms are deformed younger leaves, hollow stems & reduced pod set. Drought worsens this. As flowering ends now is a great time to scout fields & pre-plan next year's #YaraVita #ProCote application yaracanada.ca/crop-nutrition…

Only 34% of Northern Alberta farms test for micronutrients annually and less than 10% apply them yearly (Stratus Ag Research 2023). With over 50% of soils deficient, #YaraVita #ProCote provides a simple solution to cover your crop’s micronutrient needs! yaracanada.ca/crop-nutrition…

+30 weather means more conversations about reducing abiotic crop stress. Did you know a complete nutrition program including YaraVita ProCote aids in root development and improves water use efficiency? yaracanada.ca/crop-nutrition…

Haven't had a #MayLongWeekend or been able to help with seeding since 2013. University, summer jobs, 7 summers in Ag retail. We were still floating everything when I left home. Made a career move & today had the chance to run the drill for the first time 🚜🌱 #plant2024 #wheat

Beautiful day in Stony Plain with @26Petey and @RinasKassi taking off @ProvenSeed Liberty Link canola plots. Great co-operator, great weather for the @NutrienAg_NAB team #Leadingthefield

You know you're an agronomist when the highlight of your trip is checking out crops you've never seen in person before 😂

Last minute prep work for @26Petey and I's @ProvenSeed corn tour tomorrow. This year's cooperator definitely spoiled me with having the plot beautifully mowed & walkable 😍 @NutrienAg_NAB

Drones... Great for field/plot photos, also good for finding flags that have fallen down in @ProvenSeed corn demo plots. First early seeded silage corn is starting to tassel and looking great! @NutrienAg_NAB 🌽🌱

First we experienced insane heat and drought, now 5" of rain in 2 days, but the @ProvenSeed PV 661 LCM in Stony Plain is looking fantastic 😍 @NutrienAg_NAB

Odd agronomy question today. Does fertilizer burn? 1st thought seed safety; customer's seeding beside AB wildfires. Had to leave btrain in field. I forwarded melting points. Ag retail in May is stressful, but not THAT stressful. Hope everyone stays safe & fire smart this weekend
