2/2 And a big thank you to the people of Abbeydorney and Kilflynn who supported our church gate collection so generously this weekend and to our members who are constantly volunteering their time at the various works that we do.
It was a wet and wintry Sunday afternoon for the Tralee Red Cross volunteers who provided a First Aid and Ambulance service at the AIB Munster Intermediate Club Hurling Semifinal in Abbeydorney. We snapped Paul, Juule and Jason who were part of the team there. 1/2
The Tralee Red Cross Youths were literally in knots at their weekly Friday night meet up when Instructor Charlie came along to give them an introduction to simple bandaging. Big thanks to Charlie & the Youth Leaders who gave up their Friday night for this most worthwhile meeting.
It was an unusual Friday night for the Tralee Red Cross Youth Section who were given a tour of Tralee Fire Station, some important fire safety advice, experienced discharging fire extinguishers. A big thank you to John for facilitating the visit&to our wonderful leaders as usual.

The Tralee Red Cross Youth Section started Nov with an excellent session with Paramedic James from the National Ambulance Service who introduced them to some practical skills. Thanks to James for giving up his spare time & to our wonderful leaders who are there every Friday night
Making sure that they had the clock put back the hour & rising to a dark and wintry morning was the order of the day for the Tralee Red Cross collectors who were in Killarney&Causeway for our annual church gate collection this weekend. Thanks to all who contributed so generously.
A BIG Thank You to Paul from Ballybunion Sea and Cliff Rescue for the excellent presentation to the Tralee Red Cross Youth Section tonight. The Youths had a discussion of maritime and land operations carried out by the Ballybunion Sea and Cliff Rescue organisation. 2/2
2/2 They also had a show&tell session on water rescue PPE and the uniform for land searches. The Youths also experienced a demonstration&practice session of the use of rescue throw bags. Thanks also to our excellent Leaders for giving up their Friday night to supervise the night.
