Read about preserving Gaza’s ancient heritage & work by @premiereurgence @EBAFJerusalem @mota_palestine & Gazan universities #INTIQAL supported by @BritishCouncil @DCMS #CulturalProtectionFund since 2017 @UKinJerusalem 👇

The name 'Gaza' may be derived from the Persian 'ganj', meaning treasure - and it's true the tiny strip is home to untold ancient treasures. Despite the challenges, a clutch of dedicated archaeologists is determined to preserve Gaza's 5,000 year history: theguardian.com/world/2023/sep…

Great turn out yesterday for the reopening of our fantastic Heptonstall Museum. In a place shaped by its incredible history, from King David and the coiners to its rich heritage in hand loom weaving, it’s great to see the doors open again. Congratulations to everybody involved.

Gaza ne se résume pas qu'aux guerres et destructions. C'est aussi un territoire d'une richesse historique extraordinaire, qui abrita le tout premier monastère de Palestine, actuellement restauré par les Gazaouis eux-mêmes. Mon reportage ici liberation.fr/international/…

Last night I was part of the crowd at Castlefield Bowl welcoming Little Amal at the end of her 8,000km journey from the Syria-Turkey border. The flock of birds in last nights performance symbolised freedom and Little Amal’s potential to do anything 💛 a beautiful message of hope.
