Seldom are these type of movies based on works of fiction. We choose to ignore, discredit or call it science fiction. I can think of a few in last 15 years that turned out to be pretty accurate. #movies #ClimateCrisis

Focus methane, clouds from coal&oil which clogg climate systems. Strategy apportion blame to consumers, animals. Redefine co2 to cloak pollution. Sell high emitting oil wells to other companies so don’t have to pay for clean up. It’s just business! #ClimateAction #ClimateCrisis

Moving blame “I think you can look at this as a way of BP, and the oil industry more generally, trying to take some of that really intense energy and momentum towards climate action and steer it in a way that won’t impact their bottom line.” says Duncan Meisel, Clean Creatives

Solar arrays on water also improve efficiency of solar panels reducing heat

Since it was unveiled on Rosedale Wastewater Treatment Plant in 2020, our floating solar array has generated 2.37GWh of energy. That could power 326 homes for a year. Generating our own energy means we import less from the grid, reducing our greenhouse gas emissions by 323 tonne!

University of Waikato Over the last couple of weeks, fortunate to speak on minimising business & climate risk/sustainably to masters, undergraduate class. Starts with correctly defining actual risk and appropriate response/strategy

“The truth is very simple: If we continue to design our communities and transportation systems to require more driving alone, even if it’s in an electric car, it makes decarbonization far harder.” According to Rocky Mountain Institute analyis” we need localised infrastructure NLS

An Interesting Explain of Reinforcement

My Motto for #COP26 “Take responsibility, governments, businesses, communities and you.” It is a sentiment reflected in 3 waters reform and our beloved NZ rugby players who recognise that they are caretakers of the jersey for past and future generations.

#COP26 The issue facing the world isn’t getting to net zero. Or even limiting to 1.5% For years corporates and countries have been destroying the planet. “If we aim for zero we will fail it is about how we can be carbon negative and water and energy positive” only then progress.

There is so much jargon limit climate agreement.Great analogy by Meghana rao -water & energy risk using an elephant to describe risk. 6 stakeholders talk about a elephant they talk about the different parts of the elephant. no one can agree. challenge is agreeing the elephant.

Exams may not longer be viable for Auckland students -... embed.scribblelive.com/embed/post.asp… via @ScribbleLive Kia Ora we have had 20 months to sort out Learning and curriculum standards for online learning so students are prepared. Do we have one and if not why?

We can learn something from applying this narrative to everything climate
