"The deadliest spot in Manchester” Bengal Street, Ancoats, at its junction with Hood Street.  Eleven pubs and fourteen beerhouses stood within 300 yards of the White Swan. The gang ‘Bengal Tigers’ can be seen peering from the window.

1 of my fave NQ abandoned, derelict buildings is being torn down. Not used since 1996 but dates from about 1804 and was a pub, Bull’s Head, for about 130 or more years. I’ve dreamt about owning it and doing up, opening up those beautiful double doors and walking onto a balcony.
