A reminder that the NCAA could have prevented this reckoning by just not being greedy. They didn’t want to share anything with the players, and now the whole house of cards has tumbled. They only have themselves to blame.

For years, women have been unfairly blamed for women’s college basketball not becoming a bigger fixture in sports. Now that the game has delivered a generational star, blockbuster ratings and a dynasty in one tournament, will the gatekeepers finally stop standing in their way? My…

Idunno if Adam meant harm. But, the big problem is that he’s clearly a person that’s a robot, with no sense of humanity. No feeling. You can have couth as a reporter. He’s been at this long enough to know that.

with the death of Dwayne Haskins still unfolding, i encourage all of us in the media to reflect on how we can cover athletes as human beings more than “pieces,” “assets” and commodities used to obtain more money and glory.

What about coaches that opt out of bowl gms for higher paying jobs? Brian Kelly has done it twice and Lincoln Riley just did it. This era of coaches just doesn’t love football. 🙄🙄

ESPN’s Kirk Herbstreit criticized players who opt out of bowl games to prep for the NFL draft and thinks "this era of player just doesn't love football.” All but 1 of this year’s bowl games is an ESPN production. It has a vested interest in stars playing yhoo.it/32GuyRQ

I don’t think it’s fair to question a players love or commitment to a university for opting out of a bowl game when you have coaches jumping ship left and right during bowl season. But yet, y’all don’t look at a coach leaving as “abandoning his team” like a player opting out.

Coach Gruden didn’t have a bad moment, but a 7 yr history of bad moments. Owner Marc Davis did the right thing and he’s out from under that 100 mil dollar contract. What former/current players, coaches and colleagues will stand up for offended groups like the did for Coach Gruden?

🧵 The email from Jon Gruden – and some of the reaction to it – confirms that the fight against racism, racist tropes and intolerance is not over. This is not about an email as much as it is about a pervasive belief by some that people who look like me can be treated as less.
