Julia Ali shared these videos of her house in Al Khiam town in south Lebanon, one showing her playing the piano one year ago & another showing the Israeli soldiers messing with it after destroying her home. I cannot imagine her pain & heartbreak. This is hard to watch.

Cycling infrastructure should be consistent and safe. Part-time lanes create confusion and put cyclists and drivers at risk. Full-time, segregated lanes encourage more people to ride. For kids to cycle safely, they need routes free from cars and buses. 🙏

When indeed? Imagine something like this between Birmingham and Coventry. Imagine local authorities even advocating for something like this.

When is intercity travel like this coming to the UK?

English water privatisation has failed, and fines don't work. To them, fines are the cost of doing business. The government *must* stand up for the public and the environment by reviewing the water industry so that it works for people, not profit. weownit.org.uk/blog/our-open-…

We often fail to comprehend how recently the Netherlands committed to becoming a cycling nation. Of their 38,000 km. of separated cycle paths, more than HALF—about 20,000 km.—was built in the past two decades. And they’re still adding a staggering 1,000 km. each and every year.

Illegal immigration needs to stop, but I’m super in favor of greatly expanding and simplifying legal immigration. Anyone who proves themself to be hard-working, talented and honest should be allowed to become an American. Period.

The Dutch invest €595 million annually on urban biking, resulting in €19 BILLION saved in public health care costs alone. That’s how smart govts do the math on investing in better mobility. Let’s be clear — it wastes public money to NOT do it. #CityMakingMath HT @modacitylife
