The most tightly aligned with Scripture I have ever felt is now, where I consistently find myself agreeing *mostly* with various theological systems, but never *fully*, and where I feel comfortable allowing myself to ask good questions about things I’ve always assumed.
Coming back from hiatus to say that this tweet is 🗑️. A robust biblical theology is very important, but I feel like my middle schoolers could explain why the proof texts for this argument are misguided and major eisegesis.

It’s true presidents aren’t pastors. The standards for what makes a a good one are different. But those standards should include standing up for justice and the common good, especially for the least among us. If you can genuinely say that about your candidate, vote for him.

We often say we are “pro-life for the whole-life” and that solely talking about abortion laws isn’t enough. We still believe that. But unfortunately it’s getting to the point where we need political alternatives just to represent a bare-minimum pro-life view.
We will always stand for the protection of human life from conception to natural death. Today, Donald Trump publicly confirmed what many already knew: that he is willing to compromise on human life in order to improve his electability. Vote pro-life.
