hate that he issues government jobs like a community theatre casting a production of Into The Woods. The Baker is the director’s best friend who saw the movie but has never done a musical. The Witch is the costume designer with a soprano warble. Jack is his sister’s stepson Gregg
I think everyone needs to hear Audra McDonald’s calming vocals today
i still think it’s a crime she didn’t win a tony for this x.com/liveactionraya…
A note for tomorrow: ANYONE WHO IS TRICK-OR-TREATING AT FIFTEEN IS PRESUMPTIVELY CLINGING TO THE RITUALS OF CHILDHOOD AT THE MOST DISCOMBOBULATING MOMENT OF THEIR LIVES. THROW CANDY AND KINDNESS AT THEM
They’re gonna sing it again and again. Welcome back to Hadestown, Lillias White and Lana Gordon!
We raise our cups to them! Rachel Tucker, André De Shields, Dylan Wood, Madeline Charlemagne, Trevor Dion Nicholas and Melanie La Barrie give a VERY special performance at Musical Con! 💙
Madeline Charlemagne and Dylan Wood give us a taste of their Eurydice and Orpheus at a @HadestownUK show spotlight at Musical Con!
They've reached the end of the line. We're looking back at Stephanie Mills and Yola's time in Hadestown.
All aboard! Welcome to Hadestown. 🌹
We had a God in the house last night. 🙌 Thanks for stopping by the Lyric Theatre, @Andre_DeShields #HadestownUK 📸: @dannykaan
'Be open, be yourself and bring yourself fully to everything you do.' Our OG Hades, #ZacharyJames, looks back at his #HadestownUK journey ahead of his final performance this weekend. 🌹
My wonderful Old Deuteronomy, Ken Page, in the 1998 theatrical movie version of @CatsMusical, has gone to the heaviside layer. We certainly are having a sad September. He was a lovely, kind, talented man. RIP Ken.
i was thinking about this performance yesterday while sitting in the gershwin theatre. it’s rare to find someone today who is seemingly just as kind as he was talented, as evidenced by all of today’s tributes. there will never be another like gavin creel.
Bow down to the first King George III. Years before the show was fully developed, Gavin Creel was the first to take the role for a spin. Here he is in 2012 performing “You’ll Be Back” with a Burger King crown on his head.
Ken Page made his Broadway debut as Nicely-Nicely Johnson in the 1976 revival of Guys and Dolls when he was all of 22. His "Sit Down, You're Rocking the Boat" was expanded to include a rousing Gospel section. An absolute showstopper.
Up top and down below, let's see what this crew can do.
Allow her to introduce herself: Allison Russell will be making her Broadway debut as Persephone starting November 12th.
