Year 5 have are really enjoying learning about Ancient Egypt. Their classroom displays show that they've studied Tutankhamun and even mummified a fish! They have gathered arguments ready for whether the River Nike should or shouldn't be blocked ready for debating next week.
Year 6 have some great work to showcase. They have been learning about eyes in science and they have even sketched the human eye in art lessons. Other work includes writing and sketching using tone and shade.
Stone Cross library gave a very warm welcome to Year 4 today. The children shared lots of things they have discovered about their topic ‘Ancient Rome’ and they spent some time colouring Roman pictures. Each child chose a library book to bring back to school to read.
Our Numbots display is ready to go... who will have earned the most coins in each class during November? Remember, children in year 1 and 2 should be using this 3 times a week. @numbots

Y6 safeguarding day. Thanks to Sandwell ASB and youth service, DECCA, the police and SHAPE. They’ve learned how to be positive members of the community, the effects/risks of drugs and alcohol, consequences of having a criminal record, how to stay safe online and anti-bullying.
Year 5 have some impressive art work to showcase. They completed their work on perspective in these sketches and they have been studying surrealism, recreating the work of Salvador Dali.
Children in year 1 have been exploring part whole models and looking at how they can make 10. Well done year 1- keep up the hard work.
Y5 have been working super hard this week. They have been replicating the work of artists, writing instructions for how to preserve an ancient Pharaoh and they have even created an information text about the River Nile in Ancient Egypt. Well done for your efforts this week.
