This evening a surgeon called me to tell me - Mondays list is heavy, so - I shouldn’t train any anaesthetic trainees on the list, and - can I ensure to turn up to work on time. Which was nice.
Dear Government i realise the importance of vaccination but inviting over 80's to regional centres that they cannot get to seem somewhat questionable when there are gp practices more local, these people are worried enough as it is.
I can't stop laughing
CCTV footage captured in Kyiv, Ukraine yesterday shows people struggling to walk downhill due to ice covering the street in the city centre. Over 4,000 sweepers were deployed to remove the ice from the city streets.
Don't tweet often but feel so angry that I need to vent ... does PHE actually know there are suddenly millions of asthmatics who therefore don't need to wear facemasks!!! My daughter is an asthmatic and an ICU nurse 13hr shifts in full ppe, get a life plebs!!!
The man gas no excuse, and should not be considered able to continue, he is an absolute disgrace to the nation, the NHS.
Dominic Cummings has now admitted repeatedly breaking the lockdown rules. Of course, he thinks he has an excuse - that those rules didn’t really apply to him - but we absolutely do not agree. Please RT if you don’t either.
This is absolutely obscene and must be corrected at once. Please RT if you agree and help get the message to @pritipatel theguardian.com/uk-news/2020/m…
Leading lady role for my niece, so proud 💖 great achievement x
Cont: we look to end pj paralysis (fantastic movement) but still patients experience 'system paralysis', no apologies for moaning, this symptom was around 40 years ago, we have come so far in many other ways....
Cont: he remains in acute pain all weekend, as the doc who does this couldn't fit him in Fri. This is not a dig at docs please they are people too, this is about 7 day access to care that is needed, why would there be only one person who can do this in an acute hospital?
Question, why is it that people in hospital still have to wait over the weekend to access care, let me explain : talking to my neighbour whose husband has inoperable neck cancer, has been admitted to hospital and has to wait from Fri to Mon for spinal block.
Oh Please, some one advise this kindly gentleman that his PM is allegedly going to increase capital funding to the NHS (we will see...) because much of the estate still has major backlog maintenance issues and yes..... Is not fit for purpose!!
I absolutely get this, my son is registered partially sighted and people push, shove and barge with no apology on many occasions, as a society maybe we have forgotten common awareness of others around us. Time to Chang, not all disabilities are visible
Bloody hell - really brings it home. Thank you for sharing this.
Completely agree, this is childish and disrespectful behaviour, totally unprofessional.........
Disgusting. Disrespectful. Juvenile. How dare you disrespect this Union. How dare you disrespect a PROJECT created to establish & maintain PEACE in Europe. How DARE you. Brexit is YOUR mess. YOU did this. YOU failed to pass it. Face the front and own it! 🇪🇺
Thank you for raising the issue of unseen disability. People with acquired brain injury or other brain injuries are a significant cohort of this group. It is not seen as a disability nor do people or employers have any understanding of needs and issues.
After seeing a patient, I feel compelled to say: Invisible illnesses are common but not apparent to other people People may look well but underneath it they may be challenged by an ongoing illness that affects them daily Everyone has a purpose and the right not to be judged ✊
You comment absolutely hits the spot, as a nurse working in health planning environment it is always at a local level, but national change agenda & strategies provide the vital building blocks for local delivery.
Completely support this - @GWR you need to recognise that this profession is not about wearing a dress! As the previous CNO for England, I agree with my colleagues and look forward to you changing your approach and recognise @Janderzzz and her achievements #proudtobeanurse
@FionaCMcQueen @charlottemcardl @RMayNurseDir 3CNOs showing support for @Janderzzz. Modern nursing for modern healthcare in a progressive society. @GWR #proudtobeanurse
An NHS nurse ran a world record time for completing the London marathon in a nurses uniform. But she’s been denied by Guinness World Records (@GWR) because she ran in scrubs rather a dress?! Please RT to help Jess get the record she deserves. bbc.com/news/newsbeat-…
Interesting piece of research, providing food for thought and development opportunity. Getting people mobile linked with preventing PJ paralysis? discover.dc.nihr.ac.uk/content/signal…
