9 days since we called for an urgent UNSC meeting, but still UNSC members fail even to meet to discuss this growing crisis, let alone take any action. #DoYourJob.

Junta soldiers are firing incendiary rockets into neighborhoods in Thantlang Town where fire start to burn from multiple locations all at once. The abandoned town of over 10,000 residents is now billowing smokes. Lt. Col. Thaung Hlaing is the chief military commander in the area.

It has been said before regarding other ethnic states and needs to be asked again now. If this was happening in Yangon, would there still be virtual silence from the international community, and no UNSC meeting?

Concerning reports from Chin State in #Myanmar of the burning of homes and churches in Thantlang. We are closely monitoring developments in the State and discussing with partners, including at the UNSC. The military must end the violence and ensure the protection of civilians.

The entire Thantlang town might burn down in over night if no one can stop that fire brought by military. How many cities need to burn down & how many massacres need to occur before the inte community to impose Sanction on MOGE? #WhatsHappeningInMyanmar #WarCrimesOfJunta

Before and After the Coup, SAC is destroying not only cities but also people’s lives and their homes. For people who live in hilly regions, their houses are all they have. It took years to build up a place where your family calls ‘home’. It’s heartbreaking.
