Great to see Cebr represented on @BBCBreakfast the morning after a historic Budget. Well done Chris 👏

Our Head of Economic Insight, Chris Breen, joined @BBCBreakfast this morning to discuss the #Budget2024. He explains why he thinks the employer NICs hike could mean higher inflation.

Lots to dissect from the King's Speech. The Bloomberg segment focuses on bolstering the OBR. Other sig announcements relate to planning reform and GB Energy, which is the focus of @Cebr_uk's latest Forecasting Eye, out Friday July 19th.

UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer has vowed for ambitious planning reform plans to boost growth: renewables, housebuilding, workers’ rights, railways, AI and tech. @John_Stepek and @NinaSkero discuss the challenges facing the British leader on @BloombergUK trib.al/4gaiXwQ

Enjoyed presenting a few early findings of @Cebr_uk’s work with BVNK at CurrencyLDN yesterday. Watch out for the full report on economic efficiency and stablecoins in July.

“Total market cap of stablecoins is $160bn. 99.7% of these stablecoins are dollar pegged, giving businesses globally access to the world’s reserve currency.” - Nina Skero, Chief Executive at @Cebr_uk #CurrencyLDN

Nothing will humble you like watching yourself on national television in a hairnet. 😬 Joined @BBCBreakfast on location this morning to discuss today’s inflation release.

Price falls for some food items like meat, crumpets and chocolate biscuits helped drive inflation down to 3.2%, its lowest level in two-and-a-half years. On #BBCBreakfast Nina asked Nina Skero from the Centre for Economics and Business Research what the impact will be on…

Head of Econ Insight Chris Breen joined @BBCBreakfast this morning as new ONS data revealed UK was in a recession H2 2023. "This is backward looking data and we actually think that we are already out of that recession."

Happy Boxing Day or as we call it at @Cebr_uk, WELT day!

Joined @SkyNews ahead of today’s BoE decision. Unsurprisingly, there was no shift in the @bankofengland tone but given moderating inflation & weak growth outlook @Cebr expects a series of rate cuts in 2024, starting Q2. This is made all the more likely by Fed’s dovish pivot. 🕊️📉

Spoke to @IanKingSky @SkyNews about today’s UK inflation data. The drop in the headline rate won’t do much to deter BoE from further rate hikes as core and services inflation both hint at lingering price pressures.
