Armenia has had a tragic history; it has been shrinking for millennia. Once, it reached the Mediterranean through the Cilician gates & covered most of S. Asia Minor; today, it doesn't even contain Mt Ararat. Armenians have suffered continuous ethnic cleansing, (plus genocide).
