the Department for Education are an absolute shambles • no mention of universities and the impact a lockdown will have on thousands of students • no contingency plan for exams being cancelled????? shouldn’t this have been a priority as soon as last year’s were cancelled????
Today the government made a u-turn on the #ALevelsResults and #GCSE2020 results crisis! But this fight isn't over. ✊ All students - including BTEC students must get the grades they deserve. ✊ No student can miss a uni place. ✊ This can't happen next year. We need an inquiry.
Now that the U-turn has been announced: - what is going to happen with the appeals process and resits? - what is going to happen to uni places which have been filled up? - where does liability fall if teacher predictions are inaccurate? - what about all other uncertainties?
I can assure you that I will not be withdrawing my legal action until we have justice for BTEC students too.
@AndyBurnhamGM just to let you know, btec and other vocational quals not included in u turn. One grade drop at btec is equivalent to 2 a level grade drops in terms of ucas points. So many students still affected.
