Such a soul satisfying day today; hope it's not a one-off

Disappointed! New ball period was critical today for Australia, but the whole mood was so flat. Our review of day 2 on YouTube, where KL Rahul and Yashasvi Jaiswal dominated: youtu.be/mqsNOP723Sw

Had the pleasure of writing this piece about Jasprit Bumrah back in 2019. It was clear then he was going to become India's greatest ever fast bowler, if he wasn't already. #AUSvIND | #BorderGavaskarTrophy cricblog.net/what-makes-jas…

0/160 was not even a wet dream.

This. Cricket. It's far too condition based and not even close to being as black and white as we may think it is.

Had India batted much better on Day 1 and gritted it out for 250 runs only falling at the end of the day, they would likely have lost this match by a large margin. They are much better off for having done worse.

KL pushing at Lyon’s 5th stump ball could be dangerous and can take the edge to slip. Please no risks so late in the day! 🙏🏻

Beauty. Absolute beauty when Test Batsmanship of such high level is on display.

Best thing about this partnership is both bats have played with soft hands.

Captain Cummins has bowled 26.4 overs in starting 2 days of 5 match Test series for 2 wkts @ 50+. That's a battle we won so far. #INDvsAUS

The great thing about both Jaiswal & KL in this innings has been the ability to NOT get carried away when they get a boundary. They have played each ball to its merit and the result is evident.

Hopefully KL makes it big here. He deserves this more than anyone. 🫡💯

It's as if the whole world has forgotten what it was like to watch a long partnership in Test cricket. The pitch has 'eased', doesn't amount to a flat deck. The batting has been rock solid. And bowling, particularly from Hazlewood's end, top notch without luck. Good Test cricket.

Peak Test cricket this. Tight batting, disciplined bowling. Riveting stuff!

🗣️ "That's how quickly it happens in Mumbai. I never took a slow train after that." - @RaviShastriOfc 🚆 It's all about "fast trains" for Ravi Shastri as he reflects on his career in the early days. #AUSvIND 🏏

Starc in the morning: "I bowl faster than you" Jaiswal to Starc later: "It's coming too slow" 🔥

First 100+ opening stand in Australia for us since Sydney 2004. Incredible job, guys!

Hook it in my veins! 🫡❤️

Intent this and intent that, just want to say that this is what happens when both of your openers know the worth of their wickets. We need more of it.
