If it takes 4 months to do half the work on one Steam generator and you have six to do, it might take 24+months to do all six. So Framatome started in Dec22, forecast completion now around Dec24/Jan 2025, six months total delay 180 days not 45days as reported by #Koeberg #eskom
Eskom Koeberg Unit1 life extension project is already running 3 weeks late 3 months (framatome) into its schedule, over eight months it could be 8 weeks late ie August becomes October restart and then unit2 shut down in November …..see the problem coming now folks….!
Framatome will attempt to extract the first Old Steam Generator of three, due to be replaced on Unit 1 at Koeberg Nuclear Power Station tomorrow. 12off 450ton movements across two units no room for error.
