1/2 Worryingly I have had young chefs getting in touch who agree with the headline and told me to get real. 20 year old lads who have just started cooking eulogising about “the way things used to be in a proper kitchen like Harvey’s! Who is filling their head with this crap?

2/2 whatever was happening 30 years ago is irrelevant. This and the next generation of chefs should be taught to celebrate equality, better pay and working conditions and not this ego busting macho bullshit. It’s about making the food nice and nothing else.
