Anything is possible. If anything should feel like God came down and just changed your whole life it’s this girl who drunkenly got asked to answer a question by a YouTuber on Broadway in Nashville. If she saw this image from the future a year ago, there is a 0% chance she could…

P.S. Not every exercise needs to "maximize the stretch" and this is coming from the guy who has been promoting lengthened position concepts since 2018 before it was a fad. There is more to the discussion about exercise profiling than what your 20-something year old influencer…

The reason why this contraction is so wild is because you are getting a high demand on both ends of a biarticular muscle group. You are also getting these contractions in a mid-range position where the tissue has a lot of leverage to contract hard. Rare that an exercise will…

I have seen a lot of sentiment like this following the election (read the whole thread). “I voted for the party that isn’t full of people who hate me” is totally understandable. At the same time, I hope no one believes that Trump is going to fix your own personal life and…

Most men are really, REALLY low-maintainence We really don't need much at all. Just a hug now and then, a hobby, a challenge and to be left alone most of the time is more than enough for the vast majority of men But that was too much to ask for.

Anyone telling you to do things that would make you less attractive to the opposite sex (or to not do things that would make you more attractive) doesn’t have your best interests in mind. There is an element of intrasexual competition there. They may not be aware that there is…

Nietzsche saw ressentiment as the origin of slave morality. Even if he were involuntarily celibate in a literal sense, I don’t think he would have identified with the “pill” ideologies at all. Slave morality was derived from inverting what the “masters” considered to be good.…

Would Nietzsche or Dostoevsky have been incels if they grew up today?

Matt Silvera Reposted

I have noticed that there is a trend of evoking Nietzsche to justify base and cowardly attitudes. They seem to think this is a rejection of “slave morality.” It is actually the nihilism that Nietzsche rejected. A lot of these people may have forgotten that Nietzsche also wrote…

Divorce rate has declined steadily since 2000. Before she passed, Helen Fisher speculated this was due to people marrying older and after longer courtship. (At the individual level, these are both associated with lower divorce risk.)

Men trivialize women’s “icks” often, which is understandable, because if you hear, “I got the ick because he tripped on the curb” it does seem very trivial. The thing to understand however is that these visceral disgust responses are the product of thousands of years of human…

I wrote about this a little while back. It’s intrasexual competition. People denigrate couples online because they are single and envious. A man or woman being able to show a romantic partner is a status signal and an attempt to lower that status is “actually he/she doesn’t…

One of the reasons glutes are so important is because we are bipedal animals. Glutes need to apply more individual effort since we locomote from 2 limbs instead of 4. Additionally the glutes also create rotation in the hips that we require use of during the gait cycle.
