Historically, dispensing was seen as a profitable line for rural general practice. Now it’s a millstone, sinking many contracts - as our pharmacy colleagues readily agree:
@wesstreeting @doctor_katie our dispensing GP Practice global sum =£27k p/m and staff wages = £32k p/m (diff funded thru dispensary). How can we provide a 6% rise to staff with paltry £1620 increase? Without dispensary we would have closed long ago 😢
