I'm so tired of going to funerals for friends in their thirties. (I might be rather inconsistent on social media for a while. Right now it takes all the energy I have just to make it through the day without breaking down.)
It's tough to return to being a beginner. I've been painting with gouache for a couple weeks now and enjoy it. But it's slow & inefficient, with many mistakes & "Why didn't I catch this earlier?" My taste far exceeds my talent here. And there's only one way to fix that... 🎨🖌️

Few things are more artistically discouraging than realizing a piece is foundationally flawed - AFTER you spend hours on the render. (Double points if it's done in traditional.)
