Mystery Monday Reveal- This feather belongs to a Mourning Dove! They are Iowa's most widespread and abundant game birds. Iowa's first Dove season was held in 2011! You can see these birds around songbird feeding stations because they eat about 12-20% their bodyweight each day!

Mystery Monday Reveal- The strange noise that you here is escaping air vibrating the melted ice on the ground! The green plant that can be seen in the beginning of the video is releasing carbon dioxide as a product of photosynthesis.

Mystery Monday- Our naturalists were out on a hike the other day and they heard something strange. Does anyone know what is making this noise?

Daylight length is slowly increasing and temperatures are rising. Spring is near! And while bird migration activity is low, that's normal during the early stages of the season. Read more spring migration news ➡️bit.ly/3hEX3TP 📷:Nowakowski in Allegan, MI
