Happy to cheer for the Broncos tonight. Catching up with @AnnastaciaMP and @MattBQLD before #NRLManlyBroncos.
Nation shocked that Morrison has decided not to distribute vaccines we never had in the first place
To my Jordan, This day. At the White House. In the Rose Garden. The President announced actions that will help keep families safe. Actions that will protect children across America. Children like you. My dear Jordan, this day is your day.
And why should it be a choice between super and housing?
#QandA great point Re divorce and splitting super - the Govt promised to make the necessary changes 3 years ago but have never followed through @WomensLegalVic
#QandA Super tax concessions are skewed towards high income earners who can receive $10,000 a year while low income earners (1/2 female workforce) get nothing or a penalty!!!!!
#QandA affordable housing is needed - but why can’t women have good superannuation too?
3 yrs after the Government promised to change the law to stop family violence perpetrators hiding their super assets when going through a divorce, women fleeing domestic abuse are still waiting for action. This is not good enough. #auspol @StephenJonesMP abc.net.au/news/2021-05-0…
#QandA sadly I think that discourse on affordable housing by Fiona Martin in response to my question about fixing the gender super gap indicates there will not be much in the budget to help women repair and grow their Super. Just more housing v super.
Happy Mother’s Day on #Tuggeranong Parkway unnecessary 20min #TrafficJam for no reason and absolutely no warning so that cars could take an earlier exit. Fun before that at the #MothersDayClassic at Lake Ginninderra
Right now every member of the Liberals and Nationals are voting to protect Andrew Lamming. So much for this new and deep appreciation of the importance of women’s safety and decent standards of behaviour. Lots of talk from them, but none of it backed up by action. #auspoI
Commenting on superannuation measures in the federal budget tonight. Abolishing the $450 monthly income threshold for super is a great start for greater equity in the super. But so much more needs to be done. Women in particular need more in the budget to…lnkd.in/g8PGdrx
They have NOT introduced Super payments on Paid Parental Leave - too expensive to help younger women early with $1400 per child that would be invested and grow for 30 plus years.
#QandA the Government could have abolished the $450 in the 2018 and 2020 Women’s Economic Statement because it costs the Govt SFA but they chose NOT to do that until thousands of women marched on Parliament and
I think that the ‘women’s budget’ solves all our gender equity, and dv issues. CRAP when the LNP has cut legal aid and reduced federal $$ for refuge places , nothing for women over 55years. No social housing. Just a paper over budget for women. No gratitude here.
So, a cursory glance at the ‘women’s budget’ and it seems us girlies are meant to be grateful we got any attention at all!
This.
