Congratulations to the S.4 candidates who sat their UCE 2022 and have excelled. We also appreciate all our teachers for the job well done in preparing the next generation & future pillars of Uganda. Bravo to @UNEB_UG @Educ_SportsUg & @JanetMuseveni for releasing the results.
I officiated at the celebrations to mark 50 years of service by the @nwscug I thank the board and management led by Eng Dr Silver Mugisha for developing the capacity of the Corporation. You have shown that government companies can make money.
Joined the Management and Members of Staff of the National Water and Sewerage Corporation (@nwscug ) at Kololo Ceremonial Grounds to celebrate 50 years of service to the country.
That is why I advocate for a science-led strategy, first by increasing the salaries of scientists. I do not want any distractions on this and I will not accept threats.
I reiterate that education should be a means to social-economic transformation, we should not just educate for the sake of it, hence we must administer to our children the right kind of education that should generate job creators, not white-collar job seekers.
Our country is in dire need of solutions in sciences, value addition in agriculture, manufacturing and ICT, with everyone on board. This is why I want to be supported by all stakeholders so we introduce free education for all children at all levels.
At the commemoration of this year's Teachers' Day at Kololo, I had the opportunity, on behalf of the government to thank all those Teachers that are doing their best, some of whom emerged winners in the @newvisionwire-led survey, and were recognised for their work.
“I have closed over 6000 churches and 100 mosques in my country and I am now demanding for a theology degree for every religious leader. Stop playing with people's faith and making it a business. Rwanda is already a blessed country" ~ Rwandan President, Paul Kagame
On arrival in Vietnam, I visited the Mausoleum in Hanoi to pay homage to Vietnamese Revolutionary Leader and Statesman, H.E President Ho Chi Minh.
Over the last 25 years, our exports to Vietnam have increased by at least 36.1%. We import goods worth $49.2m from Vietnam & export only $9.3m, hence my call to H.E Xuan Phuc & the Vietnamese wealth creators to invest in Uganda which now has a bigger market backed by the EAC.
Glad to meet and hold bilateral talks with H.E President Nguyen Xuan Phuc. Our countries commit to deepening trade, ICT, Agriculture and Health cooperation in a bid to unlock employment opportunities for our people.
I have today signed an MoU with my counterpart Minister of ICT of Vietnam. Our two countries have agreed to cooperate in many areas of ICT. The signing was witnessed by the two Presidents Yoweri K. Museveni of Uganda and Nguen Xuan Phuc of Vietnam.
Teen Talk :Do schools still implement co curricular activities ? #NTVTnation
I am told most the delays are at ministry of finance! They are Migrating to new system of digital fund transfer! They seem to be concluding it this month! We don't expect any more delays in the payment of salaries especially after this month.
May I take this opportunity to wish all our S. 4 candidates countrywide success & thank our gallant teachers who prepared them amidst a very tough time of covid19 disruptions. You're our Heros & frontline soldiers.Bravo to all the trs of S. 4. @JanetMuseveni @nbstv @upstu_2019
