Blitzkrieg worked less than 50 matches over the course of less than a year for WCW. 19 of them house shows. And we never forgot him. Incredible talent.
In 1986 I was well on my way with my pal Joe to becoming a heel fan. We were going to WWF at the Spectrum and NWA at the Civic Center. I even was cheering for Nikita at the first best of 7 at the Vet. But I never didn't love TA. He was great, a badass, and fucking cool.
Magnum TA at his best reached a level very few wrestlers ever approached. When it came to selling & making firey badass Babyface comebacks, he's as good as anyone I've seen. Had he not had his accident, Magnum might've ended up the best wrestler of the 90s born in the US/Canada.

It's the best example of the 70's "Awesome theme song, terrible show" but it didn't matter. One of the only memories I have from being four/ five years old was that song and a night where I was color long a Hong Kong Phooey coloring book at some friends of my folks place.
Hong Kong Phooey (1974) It always blows my mind that Scatman Crothers from The Shining is the voice of Penry, the mild mannered janitor who occasionally jumps into a filing cabinets and bursts out as Hong Kong Phooey. It also blows my mind that only 17 episodes were made.

I love the one on the military base where it was hot as fuck and Ranger Ross fought "The Terrorist". It was three in the morning after getting home from work at the strip club I DJ'd at. I had just bought a dvd set of every Clash that arrived that week.
Clash of the Champions were great. I only disliked 3 of em ever. 17 had the amazing Sting/Rude match, 18 in Topeka had had 4 amazing tag bouts, 19 had the most eclectic mix w/ NWA tag tourney AND Doc/Gordy v Steiners, NY Knockouts had an all time great crowd, 23 was unreal too.
I loved it.
Conclusion of Smackdown was incredible. You gotta be patient nowadays, but pro wrestling really rules sometimes.
