Holy guacamole. This article is a death-nail to all forms of premillennialism... 👀 Kline dissects the "first resurrection" of Rev. 20:5 with an exegetical razor.

A diligent study of the grammar / syntax and the historical context of the Old Testament scriptures will not get you to Jesus. For that, you need the theological presuppositions and hermeneutical sensibilities of the New Testament and its authors.

Already been there! #justification “acquit /ə-kwĭt′/ transitive verb To find not guilty of a criminal offense. To conduct (oneself) in a specified manner. To release or discharge from an obligation, such as a debt. American Heritage® Dictionary

The relationship of the indicative to the imperative is different in a covenant of works vs the covenant of grace. #indicativeimperative

There is no divine law outside of a covenant - either as a stipulation of a covenant of works to obtain the covenant blessing or as an imperative to obey the Lord of the covenant of grace who has secured the blessing through His own obedience. #LawGospel

God, who exists in himself, spoke creation into existence, entered time and space, and made heaven his dwelling place. He spoke and made the earth to be a replica of heaven and Adam to bear the likeness to his holy kingship. ~ T. Jeff Taylor, More Than Heaven #t4b

“It’s entirely possible that people in Israel may one day build a temple and resume their religious activities within it. … if it does, it will have no eschatological or theological significance whatsoever, other than to rise up as a stench in the nostrils of God.” — Sam Storms
