Today, a guy asked me for a few quid to buy himself a drink Instead, I took him for food/drink. Turns out he is a military veteran. Has been on the streets for years. He is so traumatized & alone I’ve no doubt he will kill himself. Shame on our gov for allowing this to happen

RAF personnel have commemorated the Great Escape (made famous by the film of the same name) in, Zagan, Poland, on the 74th anniversary. British and Polish military contingents joined to remember the 76 escapees and the 50 who were killed after being recaptured. @BBCRadio2
