We must keep up the fight for our friends in jail, for our people in exile, and for the freedom and democracy of Hong Kong. #Remember228 #HongKong47 #ReleaseMyCandidate

It appears that the democracy has been cracked down as HKers feel lack of democracy. Support democracy.

#HongKongExodus New survey: 34.1% of Hong Kongers would like to emigrate; 26.6% have prepared to do so. Due to dismal economic situation, lack of democracy, political instability & poor living environment. No other rich place has so many who wish to leave. cpr.cuhk.edu.hk/en/press/surve…

The police shouldn’t attack those peaceful protectors. Support freedom and democracy.

On Nov 11, 2019 a policeman shot an unarmed #HongKong protester at point-blank range. 21-year-old Chow Pak-kwan survived but lost parts of his liver, kidney & gallbladder & was imprisoned for 6 years along w/ a fellow protester. HK's become a #PoliceState. hongkongfp.com/2022/11/30/hon…

Freedom is important for everyone. Keep supporting human rights of freedom and democracy.

Pang said he "safeguarded conscience, defended freedom, human rights & rule of law. History will acquit me." Now in all 20 people have been convicted of #sedition in HK, 0 acquitted, 17 sentenced. 63 have been arrested. 20 people & 4 companies are currently on trial.

The CCP has cracked down the freedom in HK in which HKers cannot express their opinions freely. Support freedom of speech.

UK PM @RishiSunak's first major foreign policy speech: The "golden era" of UK-China relations is over. "China poses a systemic challenge to our values & interests." We must be free to call out "abuses in Xinjiang & the curtailment of freedom in #HongKong." theguardian.com/politics/video…

Two journalists were charged for sedition, but expressing their own opinions is not a crime. Support freedom of speech.

Despite all oppression, HKers are still brave to fight for freedom. Keep supporting freedom and democracy.

Despite the crackdown in #HongKong, citizens went to the site of Chow Tsz-lok's fall to pay their respects this evening. People left messages in places the police couldn't see reading, "Never forget, never forgive!" x.com/hkdc_us/status…

The article#23 restricts human rights of freedom and democracy. Oppose the NSL to support freedom and democracy.

Hundreds and thousands of HongKongers took to the streets on July 1, 2003 to protest against the enactment of Article 23. The legislation was tabled due to the reaction of the community. Now the #Hongkong gov with #CCP will just ramp it down the throat of people.

Commemorating those who are brave to demand for freedom and democracy.

November 8 is the 5th anniversary of the death of 22-year-old HKUST student Chow Tsz-lok, who fell near a protest in 2019. This led to citywide mourning, protest escalation, 2 police sieges of HK university campuses & mass arrests. We remember Tsz-lok & wish his family well.

Agree, “our global movement for freedom is our global future for freedom”. Support freedom against totalitarianism.

HKDC's @AnnaKwokFY spoke today at @HRF's @OsloFF in NYC: “#HongKong’s movement isn't just about HK; it's a puzzle piece in the wider global freedom struggle against totalitarianism.... Our movement's our future; our global movement for freedom is our global future for freedom.”

Political prisoner, Jimmy Lai, should be released. Support freedom of speech.

In Oct, President-elect Trump said he'd free #HongKong #PoliticalPrisoner Jimmy Lai by talking w/ Xi Jinping. HK gov't insider Bernard Chan's dismissed the notion. We hope US gov't will continue to pressure HK gov't & CCP to release HK political prisoners. inmediahk.net/node/%E6%94%BF…

It’s true that the NSLs have impacted the freedom of expression severely in HK. Support freedom and expression.

An important story detailing the first #NSL arrest in #HK that is linked to activities overseas. It’s a stark reminder that the #PRC’s authoritarian law boasts extraterritorial reach & is aimed at strangling freedom of expression & academic freedom not just in #HK but overseas.

This was a historic and unprecedented moment for Hongkonger history. Keep supporting freedom.

800k #Hongkongers took to the streets on #HumanRightsDay 2019. 4 years on thousands of our brothers and sisters are still behind the bars, while many more living in exile. But the #FightForFreedom goes on.

GloryToHongKong is part of the story and collective experiences in HK to demand for freedom and democracy. Support freedom of speech.

When I see this proud Ukrainian🇺🇦 play his national anthem, I mentally play our own anthem “Glory to Hong Kong” in my head. We also have our own stories and collective experiences. We must also remember them in the decades and generations to come. Must not let #CCP🇨🇳 erase them.
