#OTD 1537 Lord Thomas Howard, uncle to Anne Boleyn, died in the Tower of London. He'd been arrested on 18 July after Henry VIII discovered his illicit affair with his niece Margaret Douglas. They were both imprisoned but she was later sent to Syon Abbey, he died from ill health.
