I've just found out that I am a finalist in the Professional Division of @americanprize for Music Composition in Chamber Music! It's such an honor to be considered! 😁
So obviously my favorite part of "Mission: Impossible Dead Reckoning part 1' was the score! Lorne Balfe was impressive but he's also a survivor of the Hans Zimmer sweat shop so I guess I'm not that surprised.
It's time that accept the fact that I have geriatric feet and act accordingly. I have the foot soles of an 80 year old woman and lately my grandma's shoes are the only ones that don't hurt.

I think my favorite thing about teaching music composition is all of my musical training up to this point comes into play. Music theory, music history, performance experience, it's all apart of it.
My mental health, my self-worth, and my peace is worth more than any amount of money... . . . I just have to keep telling myself that.
The Color Purple hits differently as an adult. I've probably seen this film a dozen times and now at 30 y.o. I feel like I'm watching it for the first time!
