Yesterday @ADCinUganda Head of Office @Dr_KatjaK, together with our partners @giz_uganda @BMZ_Bund and @min_waterUg commissioned and handed over 15 rehabilitated and upgraded water supply systems in BidiBidi and Rhino Camp Refugee Settlements in West Nile @AustrianDev @GIZWatSSUP
The project is also supporting the transition from humanitarian-led to utility management of water supply schemes in the refugee areas.
The aim of the project is to ensure sustainable delivery of water and sanitation services in three Refugee Settlements (i.e. Imvepi, Rhino Camp, and Bidibidi) and neighboring host communities.
These water systems were commissioned and handed over to @UmbrellasWatsan-Northern for Operation, Maintenance and expansion.
#MWEworks: @min_waterUg with support from @BMZ_Bund and @AustrianDev upgraded 15 Water Supply and Sanitation Facilities for Refugee Settlements and Host Communities under the @GIZWatSSUP project in the Districts of Yumbe, Madi Okollo and Terego in West Nile.
