Thank you for saying this. It's also happening in the 'assisted dying' debate right now with people trying to dismiss some views or groups simply for being held by or associated with Christians. It's quite nasty really, but if Christians call it out, we look decidedly whingy.

My concerns about men who say they're women gaining access to women's spaces have nothing to do with religion - I'm an atheist. But the insinuations against Bethany by @BBCNuala that she has concerns only because she's Christian border, in my opinion, on anti-Christian bigotry

They've spent masses on Facebook ads for ages, e.g. promoting their No 10 petition that led to a debate earlier in the year. And Guido says that a chunk of that money comes from an interesting looking offshore account. order-order.com/2024/11/20/ass…

Spot on conclusion here: "The vulnerability of the sick and elderly is ignored in this Bill. Therefore a system has been designed that looks like it has safeguards but where the safeguards are effectively useless." thecritic.co.uk/kim-leadbeater…

Even when there are no other incentives at play, doctors are often wildly wrong with their prognoses. Then imagine that you have doctors who believe in radical autonomy and will sign off any assisted suicide that they are asked about. 'Six months left to live' is meaningless.

A parishioner came to me three years ago, asking for her brother to be put on the church prayer list, as he was now in end-of-life care and expected to die imminently. He's still alive today. #AssistedDyingBill

Larry Worthen from @CMDACanada joined us last night to share how the death culture has spiralled in Canada since allowing assisted suicide and euthanasia. Even I was shocked by lots of what he shared: youtube.com/live/-Pxne_bRM…

I'm looking forward to this livestream tonight - join us if you can to understand what will happen in the United Kingdom if MPs vote to legalise assisted suicide.

We're hosting a livestream tomorrow at 8pm (GMT) with Larry Worthen, Executive Director of @CMDACanada He will present on the many reasons why the UK should not follow in Canada's footsteps by introducing assisted suicide, and also answer your questions: youtube.com/live/-Pxne_bRM…

Please read, mark and inwardly digest. Assisted dying is a misleading euphemism for assisted suicide - let's be absolutely clear what it is.

It's assisted suicide, not 'assisted dying'. ‘Assisted dying’ is not removing life support, as some think. It is an act that actively takes someone’s life, for example by lethal injection. So why are so many people, including Christians, using this misleading phrase? @HuxTweets

This is wild. Their reasoning reads like @TitaniaMcGrath The real Jesus simply *is* there for all. He doesn't need subverting or reimagining to support queer theory.

'Handel's Queer Messiah' featuring drag queens is set to be hosted by London's Foundling Museum this Christmas. They say: 'We will be repositioning the Messiah story so that it may better resonate with a 21st-century queer audience, keeping intersectionality in mind so that…

This interview with a *supporter* of assisted suicide should be enough to stop this bill dead in its tracks. It's an absolute calamity. The 'strictest safeguards in the world' turn out to be worthless (surprise surprise). Props to @vicderbyshire on this one.

FULL INTERVIEW @vicderbyshire presses assisted dying bill supporter Christine Jardine, Lib Dem MP for Edinburgh West, about the proposed new law and concerns around its safeguarding measures. #Newsnight

This is sad. It needed to happen. As much over LLF/PLF as over this. Justin, I do pray for you and will pray for your family. X will show you no mercy. I pray that you will seek the Lord wholeheartedly, confessing your real failings. And God will be faithful to forgive.

Given that we know that coercive control is something insidious and manipulative and that people often don’t realise they have been victims until years later, the Assisted Dying Bill is an enormous threat to vulnerable people. There are no adequate safeguards here.

It was good to stand with Bernard this morning. The timing was a coincidence - his case is very different to the horrendous safeguarding failures re Smyth. But it's oddly similar too in that the Church seems more interested in public perception than in doing the right thing.

'Give Bernard his life back'. Rev. Dr Bernard Randall delivers a petition signed by 38,000 people calling on @JustinWelby to give him his career back and apologise for wrongly blacklisting him. citizengo.org/en-gb/fr/13759…

Can you imagine if Johnson/Truss/Badenoch did something like this? (it seems unlikely that Sunak would have)

'Strict observers of Diwali do not consume alcohol during the occasion, while most Hindu communities only eat vegetarian food. Yet No. 10 staff served both alcohol and meat at their Diwali shindig, to the displeasure of some guests.' ✍️ Steerpike spectator.co.uk/article/no-10s…

This table, unless someone can give well-evidenced data to back it up, is an absolute disgrace.

It's just nonsense. Made up. Like a horoscope. To me this discredits the entire piece of work.
