New: Idaho Republicans have blocked a bill to make tampons available for students, calling it “woke.” One Republican lawmaker said, “You don’t have to be a woman to understand the absurdity of this policy.” huffpost.com/entry/idaho-re…

CALL ME IF YOU GET LOST WAS THE FIRST ALBUM I MADE WITH ALOT OF SONGS THAT DIDNT MAKE THE FINAL CUT. SOME OF THOSE SONGS I REALLY LOVE, AND KNEW THEY WOULD NEVER SEE THE LIGHT OF DAY, SO IVE DECIDED TO PUT A FEW OF THEM OUT.

you could’ve literally removed the first sentence and the tweet would’ve made sense but noooo you had to get some racism in there huh

This is not Syria or Libya -This is France. Protests against Macron’s pension reform have become widespread and violent.

Imagine if US workers were protesting like this as 15 million+ people are about to be cut off from Medicaid

Paris is currently in uproar 🔥🇫🇷 Amid masses of ongoing industrial action, French President Emmanuel Macron effectively pushed through a highly unpopular bill raising the retirement age from 62 to 64 years of age, in a subversion of democracy. (1/2)

Let this serve as a reminder that poverty is a policy choice. In the richest country in the world, it is absolutely inexcusable that millions of our children go to school hungry because they are living in poverty. Kudos to Governor Tim Walz and the Minnesota state legislature.

Minnesota Governor Tim Walz has signed a law guaranteeing free breakfast and lunch for all students in the state, regardless of how much money their parents make. Tens of thousands of food-insecure kids will benefit.

In America, if you're a wealthy vulture capitalist with over $250,000 in uninsured deposits at a loosely regulated bank the federal government will guarantee that your money is safe in a weekend. If you have no health insurance and get cancer, you're on your own. Unacceptable.

Can we talk about how everything infrastructural in America is fucking broken — transportation, healthcare, education, social services, everything — but snap of a finger and suddenly we can bail out some fucking sniveling tech dipshits for some reason

Hi UAW member here. I pay about 70 a month in dues. When we had our son hospital bill was over 250,000. Because of my UNION negotiated insurance I paid 1 co-pay of 25 dollars. Union dues have been the single best investment I have ever made in my family and in myself.

Without Right to Work protections, Michigan workers would be forced to pay money to UAW bosses or else be fired...

Ima throw out a hot take here but cringe dance videos are probably not as bad as slavery, genocide of natives, keeping women as second class citizens and all that
