April 11-17 is National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week. We want to thank each of our 911 dispatchers for the professional job they do. You may never see them, but they are always there answering calls for service around the clock; each of you is greatly appreciated!
Today, we take this opportunity to say how much we appreciate each of our Sioux County Sheriff’s Office law enforcement personnel as well as all of our local law enforcement officers. Thank you to each of you for your dedication to this profession and the sacrifices you make!
We handled or had 79 accidents reported to us during the December 23 winter storm. A special thank you to our jailers who safely made it in to staff the jail, dispatchers, deputies, all area law enforcement, fire and EMS personnel for coming together to keep everyone safe!
So someone’s head needs to roll over this.
According to CDC, through August 15th only 6% of deaths were definitely FROM COVID and not WITH COVID. Meaning no other known co-morbidity. How many co-morbidities do college football players typically have? Answer: not many.
This is from the Franklin-Templeton Gallup research project on people’s response to Covid 19. The misperceptions are shocking. More on this here: franklintempletonnordic.com/investor/artic…
Biden’s demand that people be ordered to wear masks when outdoors gets it backward. Covid 19 is more dangerous indoors, especially in crowded places. It is less dangerous outdoors where the virus is much more easily dispersed.
The risk of Coronavirus to healthy young people is very low but the risks of not having our young people in schools are significant. Honored to join President @realDonaldTrump, @BetsyDeVosED & @KellyannePolls today to discuss the importance of safely reopening America’s schools!
I've obtained a copy of a letter Nebraska Senator @BenSasse has sent to Big Ten Presidents in support of playing this season. Sasse is a former University President. "This is a moment for leadership. These young men need a season. Please don’t cancel college football."
I’m old enough to remember when Tim Tebow kneeled for God on the field, And the NFL got upset because that wasn’t the place for “divisive” displays of one’s beliefs.
So the NFL is allowing BLM helmet decals but if I remember correctly a few years ago the Dallas Cowboys weren’t allowed to honor our 5 fallen officers ambushed and murdered during a BLM protest...funny how that works huh?
So if it’s that dangerous, why are they waiting till Monday?
To best serve our communities and protect the health and safety of our shoppers and associates, face coverings will be required in all stores beginning Monday, July 20. For more on our decision and policy, please see here: bit.ly/3h34FNK
The goal from the start was to flatten the curve to ensure we don’t overwhelm our healthcare resources. That goal has not changed. We won’t stop COVID. We will, however, work to keep slowing it down, manage spread, and ensure anyone needing COVID care will get it.
