Just got my copies! “Blue-Blooded Cavalryman: Captain William Brooke-Rawle in the Army of the Potomac, May 1863-August 1865” from @KentStateUPress Available widely soon. Rawle wrote much abt his experiences in the 3rd PA Cav. from Brandy Station & Gettysburg thru Appomattox.

Hersh Goldberg-Polin was an American citizen. He was abandoned by his government as he had his arms blown off, taken hostage for nearly a year, and murdered right after his desperate parents appealed to the DNC. He should have lived.

First Lieutenant Hugh Doran Fricks, 22, killed in action on #Tarawa on November 23, 1943, was accounted for on March 16, 2020, and buried at the #PunchbowlCemetery on June 25, 2024, with members of his family present. #WWII #NoOneLeftBehind #RememberHonorUnderstand #NeverForget


Maj.Charles J. Mills of Gen. AA Humphreys 2nd Corps staff. Killed on this day 159 years ago at the Battle of White Oak Road. One side of the inscribed locket contains hair taken from him after his death.
