Through the IDA-supported BOOST program, the Govt held the second teaching skills competition, focusing on English language teaching. Over 3,600 entries led to 21 finalists, with 10 top teachers and 3 special honorees awarded. Hearty congratulations to all who participated.

Africa needs a concerted effort to ensure that children are in school and learning. My recent visit to Mindu Bwawani Secondary School showed me how the Govt has invested in reducing the distance to school and is using technology in classrooms to enhance teaching and learning.
