It was a pleasure to meet with Interim #Tigray Regional Government's Chief Administrator @reda_getachew this week. We discussed the tragic conditions the people of #Tigray continue to face and the urgent need to resume humanitarian aid to #Tigray.

Yesterday I met and had brief discussion with @BradSherman in the Capitol. While expressing gratitude for promoting the cause of the people of Tigray over the last 3 years, I also described to him the situation in Tigray in general & the dire humanitarian situation in particular.

Ethnic cleansing of #Tigrayans in West #Tigray is still happening. It’s unconscionable that, despite clear documentation by @HRW & UN staff, the international community is silent. I, along with @RepMcGovern & @RepLloydDoggett, are urging immediate sanctions on the perpetrators.
