You must create great art first and foremost. Don't think about the business until you've created great art.

if you want your music to catch some kind of traction (past fleeting "clout" recognition) you NEED to market the release. in general you should be promoting the album three months before AND after the release. it sounds daunting, it sounds tough and it is...but it pays off.

Don’t discount the art trying to be rigged with critiques.

The things we go through for the art... the things the art gives us in returns for the passion, faith and dedication 🙏🏾

announcing an album a week before its release is not going to cut it. you need to prep your audience for what's to come and get them anticipating and fiending for the project. teasers, trailers, music videos, behind the scenes vids, freestyles create content around the project.

Three questions to think about when developing your marketing plan: 1. How do you want people to feel? 2. What do you want them to know? 3. What do you want them to do? Connect emotionally, provide value, and have a call to action.

We’re in the groove!

When you find that pocket vocally and your melting into the record like butter 😊🙏🏾🤦🏽‍♂️

you can leave your Quarter 1 2020 Playlist submissions below. haven't decided how many will be on the playlist leaning toward 30. RULES: 1. must be a Spotify link 2. the track must be from Q1 2020 (Jan-March) 3. ONE track per artist 4. no DMs & no spamming

If 500 people spend $40 on a hoodie and $10 for a show ticket, that’s $25,000 right there (minus only a few thousand in expenses). Start thinking about concrete numbers, not dreams of millions. You have to start somewhere.

You don’t need a ton of money these days to make a great-looking video. All you need is a great concept, people who know what they’re doing, a little bit of gear and lots of time.

It’s one thing to song-write and another to get that record to translate during the recording process 🙏🏾

Felt this one, Gods speed! We often can get caught in the false reality of wanting to please everyone that we don’t end up pleasing anyone. All faith in the process 🙏🏾

Never let the speed of social media rush your pace. Take your time & execute properly; they gon “love” you when drop the right way every time

I hate when I see an artist with momentum and they don’t follow up & capitalize on it. Timing so important to success man

That movie was great! How everything built up to end in tragedy and gain in other ways. Crazy plot, but real to life

Uncut gems tho

if you are reading this, keep working and focus on your goals!

That’s the truth! The imperfections are unpredictable and often can’t be replicated. Adds to the authenticity 🙏🏾

As an artist I often feel the urge to analyze, control, nit pick and fine polish everything but sometimes that raw rocky road is where the gems are
