Senior women professionals responding to #MeToo with "Sad, but nobody would have dared do it to me", please shut up. You are pretending to sympathise while using the occasion to blow your own trumpet, AND implying other women are less than you. And we can all see through it.
I mean yes sure fly less, reduce meat, line-dry your clothes, insulate your home, but if the government is opening up new coal plants and expanding oil drilling your personal life isn’t gonna matter all that much.
If you are a woman who is contemplating talking about that harasser but are unsure, read ahead.
Just normal.
If you're a man who's never pawed, groped, assaulted a woman, you are normal. Not good, not great. This is how normal people behave.
My TL is an exhausting mess of men being outed across circles. So here's what I am going to do to preserve my sanity: bring attention to fantastic art by women. We deserve the same amount of respect and money as every man in art, advertising and media.
