Finally out! We show that in Bacteroides OMVs are a real thing! They use their OMVs to degrade polysaccharides from our diet, packing glycosylhydrolases that contain an N-terminal recruting signal. Check the cool images and videos! pnas.org/doi/10.1073/pn…

And here is our new preprint. We employed OMV and OM markers to show cool videos and images of Bacteroides vesiculating. We also use proteomics to show that the OMV cargo is tailored for diet polysaccharide degradation, Bacteroides doesn't want to use OMV for mucin degradation.

Congrats @JacksonLitteken and the rest of the team for discovering InvL, new type of invasin in Acinetobacter. InvL is secreted the T2SS and is required for A. baumannii uropathogenesis. journals.asm.org/doi/10.1128/mb…
