The Mercer Island School District has cancelled school on Wednesday, November 20 due to power outages across the island from the overnight wind storm.

The first snow of the season brought with it a power outage for customers in the upper Lake Cushman area this morning. PUD 3 linemen are headed that way. If they find a downed power line, they may have to de-energize additional customers so they can make repairs safely.
