Thank you to the 35+ service providers who attended the Addictions and Mental Health Workshop today. WECHU is a proud partner of the SSNAPP initiative, uniting community members and professionals towards a safer community.
Today, our members took part in a training workshop on addiction and mental @CaesarsWindsor The training, offered to frontline service providers, was sponsored through Project SSNAPP.
Ontario has an opioid & overdose epidemic. The # of overdoses in my community & across the province are extremely high & very alarming. Provincial funding is needed for @TheWECHU to keep SafePoint open in Windsor, so they can continue to provide live saving & life changing care.

Quick thinking and expert response by our officers saved a life yesterday! Constable Nick Long, a member of our Mobile Crisis Rapid Response Team MCRRT team, quickly took action and administered Narcan three times, which helped the man regain a pulse.
SafePoint at 101 Wyandotte East is a health facility that will provide a safe space for people to consume pre-obtained substances under the supervision of medically trained workers. Join us today from 10am – 6pm to tour the site before it opens. @HDGHWindsor @pozpathways
