Id like to let my scientific community know I made it to the other side of the rainbow. thank you so deeply to all you brilliant people for everything. Every single lesson was necessary along my journey.

something about the stress of doing surgeries, infusions and practicing my talk right before flying out to a conference is kinda comforting/motivating to feel 'back' after such a deep depression. Very excited to talk all about dopamine with people! #Dopamine2022

It would be really great if we could realize that this has been an utterly traumatic few years (& beyond these past few years for many) and humanize one another. We are all trying to do our best and no one is 100% okay. Trying to remind myself this and be more compassionate.

I know Ive been MIA- coming out as trans nearly, time & again, cost my life & career in every aspect. But, mainly due to amazing people who are brave enough to root in solidarity, Im still alive today & Ive decided to stop running & stand up for my life & career. See u at DA22❤️

Minoritized groups and those with lower incomes are more likely to be experiencing mild-to-moderate reduced sense of smell due to environmental and lifestyle factors. pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/33580579/ 1/7

For people interviewing for grad school, especially for Black and other minoritized folks, remember that: All that glitters ain’t gold ✨ A big name, Ivy League or famous advisor, does NOT mean it’s a good program nor a good fit for YOU Choose the place you’ll thrive ☀️ (1/3)

RT Pls! I am disgusted by Harry Johns’ statement released by @alzassociation which my fam has previously raised >300k for. They are willfully ignoring evidence, lying to patients’ families and now trying to use minority groups as tool for argument to try to save face.

Today’s draft decision by @CMSGov is shocking discrimination against everyone with Alzheimer’s disease, especially those who are already disproportionately impacted by this fatal disease, including women, Blacks and Hispanics. Read our statement. alz.org/news/2022/alzh…

think about making talks inclusive esp when relating to humans. otherwise it can send the, already daily, reminder: THIS IS NOT A SPACE FOR YOU. I think of this as a form of stereotype threat. white cis heteronormative men are not the standard nor neutral.

anyone who read bell hooks was transformed by her words- liberated. Her words have saved my life time and time again. This is the impact one leaves behind when they pass- the impact they had on people and because of that, she will continue to echo and heal and love.

Woah I love to see w/ grad app season that trainees are prioritizing their humanity, prioritizing PIs who treat their people well, investing in communal training environments that pursue truth not performance factories that generate effects for ego. asking is this a space FOR me.
