Researchers from SMRU (@DjfRussell) and CREEM (C. Harris) went to a Cubs meeting & helped them work towards their Scientist Badge.Lots of fun w/ skulls, whale sounds, photo-ID game. Played games to show how hard it can be for animals to communicate when humans are so noisy!

How do I fit my academic job into a 37 hour week? I don’t, I couldn’t possibly because this job is impossible to do/ complete/ control. But I am not willing to give my life to it or work longer hours unpaid, so here are 10 ways I survive: 1/11

One little common seal with the big pile of moulting male grey seals. High up the beach because greys like to be out of the water while they replace their fur this time of year. Means they are easy to see but also easy to disturb, so enjoy seal watching from a distance.
