Full time in our first George Cup Semi Final..... SWAN 4-3 CRYSTAL PALACE Deserved win for POTY Swan, beer so good and what a lovely pub indoors espec when quiet. CP fought well due to great staff n beer garden but the broken cooler meant no cask, uphill struggle from there!

Full time in York. Crescent 0-3 Three Cranes. Harsh on Crescent who never recovered from Polycarbonate and impending Thumpasaurus gig. But Cranes beer so much better, Tetley's and Yorkshire Blonde. Staff did a bit more, 60's music madness.

Full time in Quarter Final 3/4. Fossgate Tap 2-1 House of Trembling Madness Medieval Alehouse Went to the wire but in truth FT always in control. Better beer, cleaner, good atmosphere, see you in the semis 🍻

Good evening! Quarter final 2 of 4. OLD WHITE SWAN 2-3 CRYSTAL PALACE Despite better beer in OWS, the lounge like comfort, far superior pricing and general homeliness saw the SS pub home. Great staff in both. Palace joins the actual Swan in semis. C U next Tuesday.

First quarter final done. Swan 4-1 Maltings! No one saw that coming wow, I expected pens. But just an all round scintillating effort from Swan , Maltings a bit lack lustre, see you in the semis 🤩 Favourite to win it from here!

Full time in York 🎲 CRESCENT 3-1 CITY SCREEN Deserved win for Crescent. Good Brass Castle, a fine rug carpet, gentle bopping reggae and nice staff. City Screen had its moments, but fell short on beer n atmosphere. Draw for Quarter Finals below 👇🏻 Injury time Ginsters.

Round 3 of the George Cup started tonight. House of Trembling Stonegate 3-1 Rose & Crown Cracking atmosphere & 3 hazy pales (VAR suggested there should’ve been a dark) won the day for HOTTM. Tough on R&C, victim of own success as students push us centre. Far superior staff.

Dramatic sudden death pelanties win for City Screen Bar over Whippet Inn in tonight’s final tie of round 2. Less said about Artful Dodger the better! See you all in round 3 where we’ll firstly be heading to Stonegate for some medieval fun. Then Lawrence St. Keep pubbing!
