NEWS: Porsche invested an additional €70 million into Croatian electric supercar manufacturer Rimac, increasing its share in the company from 15% to 24%. "Rimac is well on its way to becoming a Tier 1 supplier for Porsche..." said Porsche Exec Board Deputy Chairman Lutz Meschke.
NEWS: #McLaren just unveiled its new limited-edition Gulf livery, seen here on the McLaren Elva. Only 149 cars with this design will be produced. The design is an homage to McLaren's race cars of 1968-1973, which featured Gulf liveries. What do you think of the design?
NEWS: #Bugatti officially revealed it is currently building a roadgoing version of the Centodieci prototype it first unveiled in 2019. The car, Bugatti says, is a tribute to the EB 110 from the 1990s. All ten units of the € 8 million car sold out within hours.
CLOSER LOOK: McLaren released further details an images of its all-new 120° turbocharged V6 powerplant to be released in the McLaren Artura. The engine produces 577bhp and 431lb-ft of torque on its own, supplemented by an electric motor producing another 94bhp and 166lb-ft.
NEWS: #Lamborghini announced it delivered 7,430 cars worldwide in 2020, a decrease of only 9% compared to 2019. The USA was the top market with 2,224 cars, followed by Germany (607), mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau (604), Japan (600), the United Kingdom (517) and Italy (347).
NEWS: @Porsche achieved the world record for fastest speed driven by a vehicle in an enclosed building using its all-electric Taycan Turbo S, reaching a top speed of 165.1 KPH.
BREAKING: #Maserati teased its prototype of the new Grecale SUV, photographed outside the historic Maserati plant on Viale Ciro Menotti in Modena. The car is expected to be unveiled before the end of 2021.
NEWS: #Pagani unveiled the special edition Huayra Tricolore. Only three examples will be built as a tribute to the Italian Air Force Aerobatic Team. Pagani created this special edition in celebration of the 60th anniversary of the Frecce Tricolori. Prices start at €5,500,000.
NEWS: Lotus unveiled the E-R9, a new design for a next-generation electric endurance racer that, according to Lotus, “could be on the starting grid of circuits around the world for the 2030 season.” It features a quick-change battery that can be “hot swapped” in pit lane.
BREAKING: #McLaren just unveiled its #Artura supercar: - Featuring a hybrid V6/electric drivetrain producing 680 PS and 720 Nm of torque. - McLaren says it can drive for 30 kilometers in EV-only mode. - Accelerates from 0-125 MPH in 8.3 seconds and has a top speed of 205 MPH.
NEWS: Lamborghini revealed its SC20 prototype open-top track car. Custom-built for a customer, the V12-powered track-only racer produces 770 CV at 8,500 rpm and develops 720 Nm of torque at 6,750 rpm. Lamborghini has not released plans to mass produce the racer.
NEWS: Aston Martin announced suspension of manufacturing until at least Apr. 20 in response to COVID-19. "In the meantime, I would like to wish everyone associated with this great company good luck, and good health," CEO Andy Palmer said in a statement.
NEWS: Aston Martin announced it will premiere its new hybrid V6 in a new range of mid-engined sportscars, starting with the Aston Martin Valhalla in 2022. Aston Martin confirmed the engine will be a 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 and that the full powertrain will be electrified.
Alfa Romeo's Giulia GTA will be limited to just 500 units worldwide. It uses the Quadrifoglio's V6, now rated at 540 hp, and is 100 kg lighter than the Quadrifoglio giving it a best-in-class power-to-weight ratio of 2.82 kg/hp.
