Americans think 26% of US households make over $500K/year (it's actually 1%). Not coincidentally, young Americans now believe $500K is the benchmark for financial success. A recipe for immense anger and grievance. This 11-year-old post still good as new: waitbutwhy.com/2013/09/why-ge…
this is pretty damning evidence that the democrats have abandoned the working class in their messaging
How Appalachia voted in presidential elections: 1992 compared to 2024. Wild.
I’m excited by the news that the President-Elect will appoint @RobertKennedyJr to @HHSGov He helped us defeat vaccine mandates in Colorado in 2019 and will help make America healthy again by shaking up HHS and FDA. I hope he leans into personal choice on vaccines rather than…
Just a quick reminder to please make everything about politics. Nothing else matters. Experiences with your friends should account for nothing, the only factor to consider is who they voted for. Remember - YOU see things clearly and they are ill-informed and stupid.
Hard to overstate just how rapid the changes in US party coalitions have been. The Democrats are now the party of high education *and* high income voters. Just 12 years ago, the inverse was true. On these terms, the Trump coalition was closer to Obama 2008 than the Harris one!
It should come as no great surprise that a Democratic Party which has abandoned working class people would find that the working class has abandoned them. While the Democratic leadership defends the status quo, the American people are angry and want change. And they’re right.
Democrats and Republicans blaming the Greens or Libertarians for their losses — who aren’t invited to debates, get almost no media coverage and have practically no budget — is like Walmart blaming the corner store for going under.
Imagine for a moment Democrats and establishment media stopped thinking in terms of dynastic orders and hierarchical leadership and actually held a competitive process for once
Kamala Harris’ loss means Gavin Newsom will once again be a leading national figure for the Democratic party. It also likely makes him a leading candidate for president in 2028. trib.al/KdblSYP
This tweet (by a Democrat strategist no less) is a perfect encapsulation of the mistakes they keep making over and over: - obsession with racial identity - obsession with gender identity - obsession with elitist credentials - zero self-reflection or humility The world *needs*…
White men without college degrees are going to ruin this country
Jon Stewart’s 2-minute history lesson here is worth everyone’s time before we start confidently breaking out our theories of what happened
If you're on the losing side of a landslide, there are two ways to react: 1) Eat the humble pie, listen, self-reflect, evolve, and come back better next time 2) Arrogantly proclaim that everyone is dumb except us, continue as you are, and make the same mistakes next time
White men without college degrees are going to ruin this country
If 50% of the country is terrified that other team may win the Presidency that's a sign the power of President should be reduced.
I voted for her. I think he’s a bad guy. But if you lose the senate, house, electoral college AND popular vote, and you think the lesson is half the country is racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, and stupid… wrong lesson. And the same thing will likely happen in 2028.
“So what do you think about the election?” “It's gonna come down to turnout in the key swing states.”
