David Taylor makes sense as the Oklahoma State head coach EXCEPT that 1) coaching responsibilities would cut into his wrestling training 2) he would have to leave everything he’s built in PA 3) he’s never been a team’s coach Having said that, I think he’d be an amazing hire

Is it good for the sport of wrestling for guys to always score bonus? With an 8 point Major Decision: Keckeisen had 28 collegiate matches: 3 DEC, 13 MD, 11 TF, 1 Fall. 89.3% Bonus Rate With a 10 point Major Decision: Keckeisen would’ve had: 7 DEC, 9 MD, 11 TF, 1 Fall. 75% Bonus
Is there any kind of momentum to make a MD a 10-point margin for next season? Getting a Major Decision this year didn’t require the dominance it did in previous years.
@wrestlingnomad Here’s the PSU takedown data. Takedowns hit an all-time low (in the Cael Sanderson era)! This is likely due to wrestlers getting Tech Falls with FEWER takedowns because of the new higher scoring. (I could gather that data too, but it’s definitely what’s going on).
I feel bad for Mitch. The most entertaining wrestler in the country. Great season.
