A Grand Tour of Arthur's Seat! My July blog looks at some of the lesser known facts about Arthur's Seat in #Edinburgh from Duddingston Loch, Camelot, Trainspotting, Enlightenment and the Innocent Railway! medium.com/@DuncanHynd/a-…

Wise Eagle wins his maiden hurdle @MusselburghRace impressively by around 30 lengths, in a hack canter without ever coming off the bit. Early days but a potential Champion Hurdle horse me thinks?

Amazing work by @MusselburghRace to get todays jump racing on! The course is officially good to soft, good in places, everywhere else in #Edinburgh is good to frozen. Great stuff!

The National Portrait Gallery in #Edinburgh main entrance is looking great with the iconic busts and statues of Burns, Stevenson and Scott. The new section for famous pregnant Scottish men and John Swinney is on hold pending a court case.

The London Underground have thoughtlessly posted adverts when they have to deal with up to 80 suicides every year My blog: We need to talk about suicide If I commit suicide, it will not be to destroy myself but to put myself back together again - A Artaud medium.com/@DuncanHynd/we…

Who at @TfL thought it was remotely appropriate to promote assisted suicide on the London Underground?

I’ve always wondered why Granton Lighthouse in #Edinburgh is in the middle of a huge trading estate, the sea view blocked by of miles of new flats? In the 19th century, W Harbour Road was the sea wall and everything east & north of that is now reclaimed land! It makes sense now!

25 years of devolution. And the Scottish Government is in the UK’s highest court arguing that a man is a woman and vice versa. I can only imagine what Donald Dewar would have said…

Today, the SNP will argue for the rights of 'pregnant men' and 'male-born lesbians'. What about the rights of women? dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1…

There’s a good new exhibit at the National Museum of Scotland in #Edinburgh - ‘Cold War Scotland’ about our fear of nuclear war and power since WW2, relating to Scotland’s geographical position. Potentially very prescient today! A nice work by the city’s famous son Paolozzi too!

‘The book you never knew you needed’ is so true! This story from @mattcoyney of a grieving neighbour and a young kid moving in next door, both looking for a bit of redemption is hilarious and also sad, it had me going at the end. Go read!

My big fat Indian takeaway Yesterday, I made Chicken Tikka Massala, Glasgow style with Tomato soup! My recent blog looked at food, trains, the last days of the Raj, Himalayan cedars, Betel nuts, #cancer and healthcare in India...something for everyone! medium.com/@DuncanHynd/my…

One thing about the extremely cold weather is that #ClimateCatastrophe alarmists can’t fail to realise that our UK weather is intrinsically linked to the position of the Jetstream. Yes, climate changes on Earth but there is no existential threat caused by Isambard Kingdom Brunel!
