I have some great research books to help you start your academic career! 📚 These books will guide you in writing papers and doing research. Drop a "BOOKS" in the comments, and I'll send the link to you via DM!
—From my own library— Some of these are written by the most influential mathematicians of the last century-Stefan Banach, Henri Cartan, Arnold, E. T. Whittaker, G. K. Bachelor, Georgi Shilov, Elias Stein. Many of these have attained the status of “Bible” of the respective field.

Lecture 16 is up. youtu.be/wzZZZpODsFk We finished going through Euclid’s Elements, ending with the construction and classification of the Platonic solids. Next stop: Archimedes!
I’m *finally* publicly announcing my PhD thesis! It’s been over two years, but here it is: arxiv.org/abs/2408.09583 github.com/wesselb/phd-th… Since it’s been so long, this gives me an opportunity to look back and reflect. Some commentary below. 🧵 1/8
Solve a maze using Laplace's equation 👇 1. Mesh the maze 2. Set Dirichlet BCs ϕ = 0 at start and ϕ = 1 at end 3. Set homogeneous Neumann BCs everywhere else 4. Solve ∇²ϕ = 0 5. Go to the start and follow the gradient 🌎 Full tutorial: seamplex.com/feenox/doc/tut…
Even if it's already done, it's probably not done in the way I've done. I'll finish a paper soon and plan to discuss it with experts. I'm a bit excited about this: something that I thought would be difficult for a long time may turn out to be very simple.
Is there a paper where I can find a P1 continuous Galerkin discretization in 4D on a pentatope-element-grid? I think I begin to see how it can be done, but wonder if someone else has already done it.
#LAFIESTADELBICAMPEONXGOLPERU
